Work from home jobs to make money from home online
1. Sell on Amazon
Jessica made over $300,000 in sales the very first year that she started her Amazon FBA business and she’s now created a course that will show you how to have the same success.
She states that you only need around $500 to start out and has former students that have built up their own Amazon FBA businesses to do more than $1 million in turnover annually.
You can find out more through her FREE 7-day online course. It will teach you things such as:
- Why Amazon is the best platform for building your business
- How using Amazon will ensure that your home is free from piles of inventory
- How to buy inventory that resulted in her seeing six figures of profit in her first year
- How to choose the perfect items to sell to make money
- The tools that she uses to save time and ensure the business is as efficient as possible
2. Flip items for profit
This is another very easy side hustle with great earning potential. For example, Melissa, in her first year of flipping, made $42,000 based on 5 to 15 hours of work per week.
And in her second year, working 20 to 30 hours per week, she made $133,000.
Flipping simply involves buying something and then re-selling it at a higher price. Some of the amazing “flips” that Melissa has done include a door handle she bought for $8 then sold for $200 and an exercise bike she bought for $100 then sold for $2,000.
Clearly there’s really good money to be made here.
Find out more from Melissa, including exactly how to get started flipping, right here.
3. Become a virtual assistant
You may not know what a virtual assistant is, but you’ve definitely benefitted from their work if you’ve used the internet for more than five minutes in your life.
A virtual assistant, or VA, does all those tasks that a site owner – including bloggers – don’t have time to do. This can range from writing articles, looking after emails, being responsible for managing and developing the website’s social media page…literally any part of running a business’ site.
And this list isn’t even close to everything that VAs do! If you’d like to see a more complete list of the services you can offer, check out this amazing FREE resource: 150+ Services You Can Offer as a Virtual Assistant (And Get Paid For!).
There’s huge demand for good VAs and given that you can work from as little as five to ten hours per week and earn a monthly income of up to $1,000, it’s definitely something you should consider.
Of course, you’re free to work even more – and then earn even more!
You can even develop your VA skills in a niche area. In particular, with Pinterest being the most important platform for bloggers and businesses alike, VAs who specialise in Pinterest are in hot demand.
One great example is Kristin who, within her first six months and in addition to her full time job, averaged $3,600 a month from her role as a Pinterest manager and blogger – just as a side hustle.
If you’re interested in doing the same, why not take a look at her FREE Pinterest VA Workbook. It has tips, tutorials and even homework (yep, sorry) on just how you can begin building a successful VA business, whether that be as a side hustle or your new full time job!

4. Teach English online from home
No list of work from home jobs would be complete without mentioning the company that Forbes named as the number 1 company for people who want to work from home.
With VIPKID, you’ll be paid up to $22 per hour to teach English to students in China. All you need is:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Any sort of “formal” or “informal” teaching experience, such as tutoring, coaching, mentoring or some sort of leadership role, such as in a Scout pack or church group. Even raising your own kids counts!
- An internet connection that can handle both video and audio
All teaching materials are provided to you by the company (which means no unpaid prep time!) and, if you’re hired, you’ll be put on an initial six month contract which may be extended – with a pay rise.

5. Become a blogger
Now, I may be a bit biased on this point, considering that this is clearly my side hustle of choice.
But given that there are many bloggers earning six figures per month or more, there are some amazing earning opportunities in blogging.
What’s even crazier is that it only costs $3.95 to get started – which includes a FREE domain name, worth $15.
Not to mention that it’s really fun! Getting to write about something that I’m passionate about doesn’t feel like a job at all – and the fact that I get to make money from it is incredible!
To get started, check out this article: HOW TO START A BLOG IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES
TIP: If you’re really serious about turning your blog into a business, I’d strongly recommend you consider signing up for the Billionaire Blog Club.
I’m a member and I can’t emphasize enough how useful the courses in the BBC have been. My site traffic – and moneymaking potential – has literally exploded since I started putting the lessons into action.

6. Become a bookkeeper
Becoming a virtual bookkeeper is an excellent way to earn some great money.
Not only can you work from wherever you are, whenever you want. You can also earn an average of $80 an hour with the only start-up costs being your computer and internet connection.
You don’t even need to be good at math! As long as you’ve got a keen eye for detail, this could be a seriously lucrative work from home opportunity for you.
Find out more through this FREE online course on how to start your very own bookkeeping business. The three seminars will show you:
- How much money you can earn
- The skills you’ll need to succeed
- The technology you’ll need to get started, as well as the low start-up costs
- How to get and keep clients
7. Become a freelance writer
Do you like writing? Interested in making some money from it but aren’t sure how? Then this may be the side hustle for you.
Websites for all types of business – including blogs – rely on freelance writers to produce their content.
But while you may be a great writer, it can be difficult to know where to look for these kinds of opportunities.
Elna Cain, however, knows just where to find them. She manages her own freelance business while also being a stay at home mom of twins (!!).
Better yet, she’s created a course that will allow you to make $1,000 in only 30 days from freelance writing. Former students of hers are making several thousand dollars at home, just by writing content that has been published on sites such as the Huffington Post and About.com.
Take a look at her course here for more information on how you can make freelance writing your new side hustle – or even your new full time job!

8. Become a proofreader
If you love reading and have attention to detail, then this could be a great opportunity for you.
Caitlin, the founder of Proofread Anywhere, turned her knack for proofreading into a full time income, including when she spent one year living in South America.
So this truly is a side hustle that will allow you to work from anywhere you want.
She’s now started a course with thousands of former students making thousands of dollars through proofreading as a side hustle – and some even using it to replace their full time income.
Her course will show you not only how to become an expert proofreader, but also how to market yourself to potential clients so that you can make sure that you’re making as much money as possible.
If you’re interested, why not check out her FREE 45-minute seminar to see if this is something that you could see yourself doing!
9. Become a scopist
What’s a scopist? It’s essentially editing legal documents for court reporters – you know, the person tapping away madly in the corner of a courtroom.
The court reporter will provide a transcript and an audio recording of the court proceedings to the scopist. They will then download the recording and edit the transcript to ensure that it is correct.
This means that a successful scopist needs excellent writing skills – but that’s pretty much it! As long as you have that and an internet connection, then becoming a scopist may be the work from home job for you.
Scopists are paid between $30,000 and $50,000 a year and can work from anywhere. This means there’s both flexibility and great money to be made.
If this sounds interesting to you, consider signing up for this FREE 7-day introductory course.
10. Become a transcriptionist
A transcriptionist is fairly similar to a scopist, except that the work is more general. It won’t involve legal (or medical) documents – instead, you’ll be working for pretty much anyone that needs audio or video turned into a transcript.
This could include industries such as academia (e.g. university lectures), marketing (e.g. ads), interviews and films.
However, it’s just as flexible as being a scopist and the average annual salary for a transcriptionist is around $45,000. Not bad for a job you can do from literally anywhere!
To find out more, check out this FREE 7-day course, which will show you the exact foundations for how to become a transcriptionist – and how to make money from it.
11. Become a customer service representative
Businesses everywhere need people who can speak well, resolve customer issues and use a computer. Luckily, you no longer have to go work in a call center to take advantage of this job opportunity – now, you can do it from home!
You can work either full or part time, although you’ll generally have to work for at least a four hour block.
There are a range of companies that have positions on offer. Check out Arise, Alpine Access, VIPdesk and Convergys, which are some of the major players in this field.
As a bonus: some companies will hire you as an employee rather than as an independent contractor, meaning you’ll get benefits. Take a look at Alpine Access, VIPdesk and Convergys for this in particular.
Don’t worry if they ask you to pay a small fee (up to $35) – this is just a background check and shouldn’t be seen as a scam.
Start your work from home job and earn a full time income from home today!
As you can see, there are a range of work from home jobs available that all allow you to take advantage of your skills to earn some great money.
Whether you choose to start doing one of these as a side hustle or if your aim is to make this your full time job, there’s definitely something out there for you to start your money-making journey.
And the flexibility gained from working online can’t be beaten. You may want to work from home or from the other side of the world. Whatever you’re looking for, these jobs will allow you to do just that.
