If there was a Miss Online Survey pageant, Swagbucks would absolutely get the crown.
While other pageant entrants may be juggling or yodelling or whatever, Swagbucks can easily make you over $1,000 in just a couple of months. You even get a $5 sign-up bonus!

However, my personal favourite way to make money online is from doing things that I’d be doing anyway!

You won’t make thousands of dollars from this alone, but when you’re going to be searching the web anyway, you may as well earn some points while doing so.
I also love that SwagBucks has a mobile app. Once you sign up, you’ll be shown a link to download the app for either iOS or Android. It’s a great way to use your free time to earn some extra points, especially during long commutes.
The payout minimum depends on how you want to redeem your points. You can use the SwagBucks (or SBs) that you earn for almost any type of gift card or even PayPal, which is essentially the same as cash. For example, to earn $25 through PayPal or Amazon, you can simply redeem 2,500 SBs.
Reviews online are also very positive about how quickly you’ll receive your money or gift card, which is always reassuring to see.
Finally, SwagBucks is far more international than some of the other options. If you’re in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada or Australia, you’re good to go!

2. SurveyRewardz
One issue with some survey websites is that it can take a long time to reach the amount needed to get a pay out.
Not SurveyRewardz! They have a minimum cash out amount of only $1 if you want to be paid with a PayPal card (which is essentially getting cash). Alternatively, you can choose to be paid in Amazon gift cards, in which case the cash out level rises slightly to $5. This is still far better than many other similar sites.
Signing up is easy and only takes five to ten minutes. You have to answer some questions about yourself so that the system knows which surveys you qualify for. It’s also available to visitors from not only the US, but also Canada, the UK and Australia.
Another great aspect of this SurveyRewards is that they tell you ahead of time how much you’ll earn for completing a survey.
This may sound like a strange positive but many survey sites don’t do this! It means that you can avoid wasting your time if you think that the time spent completing the survey isn’t worth the payout.
Surveys will pay you anywhere between $0.50 and $10 each. You also have the choice to check which surveys you qualify for by logging into the site rather than have them flooding you with emails each time you qualify for a survey. This is great news if you’d rather not have your inbox clogged up by survey spam.

Much like the other sites, Opinion Square allows you to make a few dollars each time you complete a survey.
Generally speaking, you’ll qualify for three to four surveys per month, which they notify you about by email. This means that you definitely won’t get spammed.
However, if that’s not enough for you, you can install some software on your computer to have access to even more surveys. No issues have been reported online with this software regarding viruses etc. but, as with all things you download, it’s best to have your anti-virus protection up to date just in case.

For starters, it’s one of the most well known survey companies. This is backed up by the fact that they pay out super quickly and have really high quality surveys on offer.
They’re managed by Nielsen, which you may have heard of as they’re frequently cited in news articles as providing great quality opinions. This means that you know that their surveys are legit.
They even sometimes send out products for reviews – which you’re often able to keep!

Ipsos i-Say is pretty typical when it comes to paying you for the surveys you complete. Each survey gives you between 45 to 90 points. Once you’ve earned 1,000 points, you can exchange these for a $10 Amazon or iTunes gift card.
And there’s a better option for those who prefer cash. That is, if you get to 1,500 points, you can exchange them for a PayPal card or a prepaid Visa.
What’s interesting with this site is that the longer you hoard your points, the more valuable they become. For example, while 1,000 points gets you $10, you can exchange 9,000 points for a $100 PayPal card. That’s a “saving” of 1,000 points.
They also have a TON more surveys available than other sites, which is great for maximising how much you can earn from them.
All of the surveys tell you upfront how many points you’ll earn as well as approximately how long it will take to complete each one. That makes it super easy for you to immediately judge whether it’s worth your time to do each one.
As another really great feature, Ipsos i-Say has a loyalty program. This means that the more surveys you take, the better your rewards.

For another option to make money from completing surveys when you run out of offers on the other sites, you should definitely consider checking out ClickPerks.
Much like the others, there are a range of ways to make money through this site. In addition to surveys, you can watch videos and play games. After all, every little bit counts!
I wouldn’t bother using ClickPerks to find cashback deals for shopping online, as I don’t think they have as many offers as other sites.
But in terms of surveys, they have a good range and tell you upfront how long each one will take as well as how many points you’ll get for doing it.
Points can be redeemed at a rate of 10 to 1. So, for example, a $25 Amazon or Starbucks gift card or $25 through PayPal will cost you 2,500 points.

7. iSurveyWorld
iSurveyWorld keeps it simple: complete surveys, earn money. Which is not at all a bad thing!
In addition, they’ll give you a $5 sign-up bonus.
Unlike the others, it doesn’t allow you to earn points from watching videos or playing games. It is solely focussed on market research.
In addition, the only option to redeem your points is as cash through PayPal. So if you’re looking for Amazon gift cards, I’d recommend trying one of the other sites on this list. But if you just want to make a few dollars, you should definitely consider looking into iSurveyWorld.
For each 15 minute survey, you’ll receive the equivalent of about $1 to $2. The payout time of three to four weeks is a bit annoying – but you can always use that time to earn money through other survey sites, of course!
Finally, as a nice little international twist, the site is available in both Spanish and English. If you speak Spanish (or have the Google Translate extension installed in your browser), you can actually expect to get more survey offers – and thus more chances to make money.

8. InboxDollars
InboxDollars says that its members have earned over $50 million in rewards, which is an insane amount of money for a survey site.

It helps that signing up is super easy. All I had to do was answer a few questions about things like my income and family status (married, kids etc.). After a couple of video tutorials, I’d earned my first $5.00 – plus $0.50 for completing my profile. Simple!
They have a range of surveys for you to complete as well as the usual suspects: videos, games etc.
One great thing that I really like about InboxDollars is that they don’t use points. Instead, they’ll actually show you exactly how much you’ll earn by completing a survey or other activity as a dollar amount.
This really removes some of the frustration that you can get at other sites when you’re told that you’ve earned 10,000 points…which ends up being worth about $3.
All of the surveys tell you how much you’ll earn and how long each survey will take. Most of them are less than $1.00, so I wouldn’t expect to earn thousands of dollars through this site.
That said, it’s super easy to use and you know it’s legit when they work with major companies like Target, Netflix and Walmart.

Surveys usually pay around $0.50 to $1.00, with others going up to $5.00. You can sometimes get up to $75 for doing certain surveys, however the ones that are that high are generally not free. I’d recommend being wary about handing over your credit card details to take advantage of the super high offers.
In addition to completing surveys, one great way to earn just under $1.00 a day is through reading emails. InboxPays will send you up to three emails per day at a rate of $0.25 per click.
This usually involves clicking on advertisers’ links, which is a perfectly easy way to earn a few extra dollars a week. Just think twice before giving your email address to any of these advertisers to avoid being bombarded with spam.
If you end up enjoying InboxPays, you can even earn some extra money by referring it to your friends. If they register, you’ll get 10% of whatever he or she earns when they cash out. Not a bad deal!
Payouts are done through PayPal, which I really like as it’s pretty much the same as getting cash. They do their pay outs every two weeks, so they’re very regular.
The only downside is that you can only get paid out after earning $50, which can take some time with all of the survey sites. Nevertheless, once you reach that amount, $50 is nothing to sniff at!
